2020 has been another very trying year for everyone due to the Covid 19 crisis. No one could foresee this coming and has affected us as well by the way we have to stock and the money we raise to do so. We have been limited sell our monthly raffle ticket due to bars and businesses being closed. That raises us $600.00 a month to put trout in the "Yough". To all the fishermen and women enjoying the fishing opportunities we have been providing we the members of West Newton "Stock... the Yough" would like to ask if you can afford to, please buy an extra button or send a donation to "Stock the Yough" 35 Sportsmen's Road West Newton PA 15089. We also set up a Pay Pal account to donate or buy button's. Go to www.paypal.com and set up an account then enter [email protected]. Please ONLY use the "Friends & Family" option otherwise Pay Pal charges us an additional service fee. Button's are $10.00 a piece plus $4.00 to cover postage and envelope for up to 4 buttons .The Post Office is charging us a minimum of $3.80 to ship in a padded envelope. Unfortunately we have to pass that cost to you. Be sure and enter your shipping name and address. Your support will ensure we can keep stocking the way we have been. Part of cleaning up a watershed lies in removing trash from the river. Nearly 300 tires were removed between Cedar Creek Park and West Newton, just 15 from the... upstream section. From September of last year until now, more than 1000 tires have been removed from the Youghiogheny, specifically from the West Newton area. We'll be hosting another litter cleanup in the spring - we'll let you know when that is scheduled.
