We are so honored to have been a generous supporter of Pennsbury Manor’s education programs for several years, having donated dry cutherbs for the popular 17th-Century Medicine program. In this activity, students learn about women’s historical roles as medical practitioners while they create aromatic headache bags. The recipe, based on a 17th-century example, contains rosemary, sage, betony, and cloves. While @pennsburymanor remains closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff is committed to serving students via virtual education programs. When teachers sign up for a virtual program, they can request an activity kit containing the supplies needed to make a headache bag. Students of all ages love this sensory, hands-on activity!
