Can you imagine being quarantined with an abusive partner, on top of everything else? calling into a peer support group from your closet, so your abuser can’t hear? trying to find a safe place to take your children in the midst of this global pandemic?... https://www.helpwomen.org/updates/2020/12/1/can-you-imagine
It's #toolkittuesday and Congreso de Latinos Unidos has a great tip to help teach kids to relax and release tension. "Domestic violence affects the whole family, including children who have been protected from the abuse. This stress can take a toll on our bodies and minds! Children can benefit from practicing fun, healthy ways to release this tension. If you notice that your child is anxious, upset, or zoning out, try this fun relaxation game to help them feel good again." Can you believe we're already halfway through Domestic Violence Awareness Month? We've got a lot of great programs still to come this month, but sometimes it's nice to take a step back and look at what we've done.
