I've been having a hard time wording exactly the message I want to send this Pride month. I find it fortuitous that this Juneteenth The Nap Ministry, a radical self-care organization that examines the liberating power of rest, posted this much needed reminder that healing ourselves is a necessary part of healing our communities. I can give you all the stretches and foam rollers in the world and it doesn't even come close to the healing power of your own rest. To all LGBTQ+, black, brown, and people that fight for a more loving and just world: I honor you. Now go get yourself some rest.
