We've recently had a number of questions about used Stahl Headers for sale on Ebay, Racing Junk etc... 1) A Stahl header will have a name tag tacked on one tube if it was built in the late '70's through 2015. 2) Even though the flanges might be stamped 'Stahl' all flanges made in the shop were stamped whether they went on a fully assembled header or were sold as parts, so someone could have purchased flanges and built their own headers (Which we hope would be obvious).... 3) Finally, there will always be a serial number! The serial number is stamped on the outside of the flanges and will contain the date and sequential production number of that year. For example.....498-256 = April of 1998 and the 256th header built that year. Currently we are able to access serial numbers back to 1982. If you are considering a used Stahl header give us a call with the serial number and we will be happy to look it up and tell you exactly what it is.
