Incredibly rewarding to see our patients NOT only get back to function but to watch them return to doing activities they enjoy! And then to actually partake in those activities with them...well that is just truly neat! 10 months ago my friend and fellow CCHS alum Jim Cinelli was undergoing shoulder surgery. He pushed himself through one of THE most difficult post-op rehab processes, through a pandemic and has returned to playing tennis over the past 2 months. Today I had the chance to return a few of his wickedly-placed forehands!! #CCHS #shoulderrehab #twooldguys #officialPTprovidertocchsalumni #WhosyourPT #wyomissingpt

Update on our favorite employee/patient: 1 month post-op knee arthroscopy with meniscal tear, debridement of arthritis. We’re giving you Lori Cooper Ketterer’s diagnostic details so you can fully understand what your post op journey should look like. Full mobility, no swelling despite gradually increasing her knee loading, pain manageable with ice. Light mountain biking started. Leg Press exercise with Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) started (see video) Owens Recovery Science progressing her quadriceps strength is key. To date...excellent outcome. #TheReturn #kneerehab #kneearthroscopy#trailrunningremains6weeksaway #wyomissingpt #WhosyourPT

Post op day #5 for our fav PTA Lori Cooper Ketterer. Mild increase in swelling. Totally normal. Video shows the ability to push fluid side-to-side. As someone weans from crutches it is common to see some increase in swelling from increased joint stress. Important to address through anti-inflammatory meds, icing and doing what she does best at office: sitting around with feet propped up. . Excellent knee range of motion. Started Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) rehab to facilitate her quadriceps strength. Refer to our website or our partners website: www.owensrecoveryscience.com for details on this new, state-of-the-art way to strengthen weakened muscles. #TheReturn #kneerehab #BFR #bloodflowrestrictiontherapy #workingherbuttoff #trailrunningremains9weeksaway
