Shrimp Broodstock Research Shortlisted for GAA Award Recently a study comparing performance differences between ablated and non-ablated female shrimp broodstock was published in the journal Aquaculture by Simao Zacarias of the University of Stirling. This important research utilized diets from Zeigler’s unique Shrimp Broodstock 1-2-3 Program (EZ Mate & Shrimp Broodstock) and identified the role of high quality nutrition in supporting successful outcomes with non-ablated females. Mr. Zacarias’ work is an important piece of the puzzle in advancing shrimp broodstock programs and he is now a finalist for GAA’s 2020 Innovation Award.
