Get ready for the 2020 Factory Whistle Concert! This year, fans are being asked to listen from their home, car, or online, but the eerie holiday song tradition will carry on for the 132nd year. This tradition is supported by an annual grant from the York Factory Whistle Concert Fund at YCCF.

For many York County residents, they never thought they'd be in a position to receive food from a food bank. Many volunteered or donated in the past. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they find themselves in need for the first time. Thanks to grants from the York County COVID-19 Response Fund, created by YCCF in partnership with the United Way of York County, those in need can rely on our food outreach partners, like York County Food Bank to help meet their needs with compassion and impact. There's still time to register for the 2nd Annual Keystones African American Military Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, to be presented virtually (via Zoom) , tonight, Thursday, December 17, at 7 p.m. Keystones Oral History Series Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was created in 2018 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Several African American individuals throughout South Central Pennsylvania were inducted, most notably, the late Voni Grimes of York County. This evening, six new induc...tees will be honored. Registration in advance is required. https://ycp.zoom.us/webi/register/WN_Cf-O-w8RSpWE66O0HNcaEg YCCF is proud to support the Keystones Oral History series with a grant from the Fund for York County, so that they can collect the stories of African American Military Service in York County and create a school curriculum to make sure our students know this part of our history. Congratulations to all of the inductees!

The education of our youngest community members has changed significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic and has posed challenges for educators and families. Childcare centers have also faced challenges in providing expanded care for school-aged children who are participating in virtual learning. Recognizing these challenges and the financial strain that comes along with implementing new programming to serve these children and their families, the York County COVID-19 Response Fund has expanded its priorities to include school-aged child care and awarded $50,000 to four York County nonprofits serving children who are now learning virtually. YCCF and United Way of York County are proud to announce grants to YMCA of York and York County, YWCA York, York JCC (Jewish Community Center), and Hanover Area YMCA.
