The last spout being set. With the help of the tapping crew all the spouts are in. The earliest I have ever been tapped. Hope to make some early syrup.
By far the largest maple in the sugarbush! Acer rubrum ( red maple). This tree is probably why there are so many red maples in the sugarbush. Did you know maple syrup can be made from any type of maple tree?
