This Thursday, October 15th the Lions of Pennsylvania will be loading this trailer with disaster relief supplies for the people of Louisiana. The 17 districts... of MD-14 have spent the last 2 weeks gathering the supplies through donations and purchases. In addition the relief supplies, we are also sending 2 diaster pods to help with relief efforts. Each pod will sleep 6 and has storage for work tools. The pods are the idea and design of Lion Jim Groff, our MD Diaster Relief Chairperson. See more

Lions Dave Leon, Becky and I completed the vision screening at the Carbon Head Start in Lehighton. Currently they are only at less than 1/2 enrollment! We are happy to offer this awesome Lion event!

Don't feel like making dinner on 10/6??? The West Penn Lions are selling Pretzel Sandwiches and Hoagies from R&K Subs. The Pretzel Sandwiches are $5.50 and ther...e are 10 flavors (Italian, Ham & Cheese, Ham & Swiss, Turkey & Cheese, Roast Beef & Cheese, Sweet Lebanon & Cheese, All Cheese, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, & Tuna Salad). The hoagies are $6.50. Hoagies have the lettuce/tomato/onions separate so your roll does not get soggy. Hoagies choices are: Italian, Italian w/onion, Italian No Onion, Italian with Onion and Peppers, Ham with Onions, Ham No Onions, Turkey w/Onions, Turkey No Onions, Roast Beef with Onions, Roast Beef No Onions, American W/Onions, American No Onions. There is also Turkey with Onion and All Cheese with Onion on a Whole Grain Roll) All Hoagies are 12 in subs. If you have any interest in ordering, please let me know.
