White Deer Township Volunteer Fire Company

Tonight's training was a tour of the new GAF facility. They gave us a tour of all the new manufacturing equipment. Showed up all hazards and hazardous materials. The new fire pump and fire connections. They did a great job and thanks for the refreshments.

On Tuesday June 15. We meet with UGI Engergy Services for our weekly training. We took a tour of there facility. We went over all safty aspects of the facility and what they need us to help with if there is a emergency. Afterwards we meet with them back at the station for refreshments and a table top exercise. It was a very good training.

Kelly Cross Roads is having a open house to dedicate their new community center on June 26th. The White Deer Twp Volunteer Fire Dept will be there holding a chicken barbecue during this event. Time 11 til sold out. Please come out an enjoy the event.

At 02:55 hrs on 6/11/21 the White deer twp fire and EMS along with Milton fire dept . Tower 15 responded to a barn fire on Ridge road New Columbia , Chief 503 ( Messinger ) arrives on scene to find hay bales on fire inside a storage area. Chief 501 ( koch ) arrives and assumes command , Fire crews arrive and quickly knocked the fire down and start to remove hay bales to check for any further fire spread. help from the owner with a skid steer to remove the bales makes for faster work. the storage area and surrounding area is wet down and throughly checked , there were no injuries to fire crews or any farm animals and only minor building damage , crews are now available

Last Tuesday training was propane burn. It was to teach the proper way to shutdown the source of propane. By using 2 hose lines to protect our selves. We use 2 crews or 2 and a officer to shut down the source. We were able to get a good hand full of runs out of 4 propane cylinders. Thansk to hellers gas and captian Cromely 505

The officers and members would like to thank everyone for their continued support of fire company events and fundraising. Yesterday the fire police had a great chicken bbq. We are looking at January for our next fundraising event. Please stay tuned.
