We are offering a limited number of Free snow plowing services to residents within our West Bradford community who are financially and physically unable to clear their own plowable driveways. We will keep your information confidential and only use this information to make arrangements with you for snow plowing on Tuesday. Good Morning West Bradford, It appears the winter weather event is now imminent. Here are some important notices for the upcoming storm. An emergency snow decl...aration will take effect this morning at 10:00 a.m. and will remain in place until lifted. At this point, it appears that will be sometime early Tuesday morning. We will post notice when the declaration will be lifted. Please do not park your vehicles on the public roadways during this time. It is important that our emergency personnel and snowplows are able to maneuver the roadways safely. Trash and recycling that is scheduled for pick up on Monday, February 1st will be moved to Wednesday, February 3rd. Yesterday and into this morning station 39 responded to 5 calls for service; 2 motor vehicle collisions, 1 car fire, 1 medical call and fire alarm.Crews staffed the station in preparation for the storm. We hope everyone was able to stay safe and warm throughout! If you have a fire hydrant on or near your property and snow is blocking it we kindly ask for you to shovel a 3' circle around the hydrant, in case emergencies crews need to be able to access the hydrant quickly we greatly appreciate it!

Units from Kennett Fire Company No. 1, Avondale Fire Company and Longwood Fire Company are on an active Search Detail in the area of Birch Street, Kennett Square Borough. Around 5pm, a hunter reported seeing a barefoot child, about 8 years of age, white or Hispanic in a blue tee shirt playing in the field. If anyone in the Borough of Kennett Square or Kennett Township have any information please call 911. We appreciate the assistance from the public in this matter.
