After six weeks of promotion across VerStandig Media's four radio stations and with local community support, the Good for the Sole event has come to an end. Though the final count falls short of the goal needed to break the Guinness World Record, the promotion brought in approximately 9,000 pairs of shoes.... "While we did not break the world record, we are overwhelmed by the response from the community," said Blake Truman, VP of VerStandig Media. Shoes will be distributed to local charities including Women in Need of Franklin County, Children in Need of Washington County, and Soles of Love covering the tri-state area. "Thanks to all of the donations, we are going to impact many lives across the tri-state," stated Lisa Wolfe, Sales Manager at VerStandig Media. Special thanks to Middletown Valley Bank, ELM Shoes, and Chambersburg Waste Paper Co, Inc., Inc. along with the support of the Greencastle Borough and Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce.
