I followed the governor’s recommendation to close my business to do my part to help flatten the curve of Coronavirus. If self-employed, licensed massage therapists are excluded from economic relief, this is an unfair exclusion of a small business owner.

My practice is closed this week in response to the governor’s recommendation for all non-essential businesses to shut down to reduce possible exposure and spread of the coronavirus. In contacting one client to cancel her appointment, she replied: Thanks Val! I think you are essential but I totally understand!... Ahhhhh... For my business, I’m taking this week by week. Personally, I’m praying for our world. Therein lies our only hope, peace and confidence. While you and I are being watchful for needs around us, let’s first ask God to show us where He’s working; when we join Him there, we won’t miss anyone.
