Coloring can reduce stress as well as work to sharpen areas of your brain. It generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates the brain (activating the areas relating to logic and creativity). The relaxation that it provides lowers the activity of the amygdala, a basic part of our brain involved in controlling emotion that is affected by stress. Tips: Color in a calm environment. Try to have some relaxing music playing. Let the colors and creativity flow! ... Try it out! Use your own programs such as paint or Adobe or any of the following free apps to color any picture you like. Don’t forget to tag us so we can see! #uarts #uartshealthservices #universityofthearts

Many artists face challenges in performing and showcasing their talents during a global pandemic, but it doesn’t mean creativity has to stop all together. This article talks with four international DJs/music producers on how their roles have shifted, the reality of streaming as a DJ, and the positive aspect of having more time to experiment and create. Insightful and honest, we recommend giving it a read. #uarts #universityofthearts
