Our Public Works crews are working to clear the roads as well, addressing the main roads first. All the cars on the roads are slowing them down a bit. You’re encouraged to stay home if possible to allow the crews to plow and salt our roads.

Flood Awareness & Prevention The Township of Upper St. Clair depends on your cooperation and assistance to prevent flooding. Here's how you can help: -Do not dump or throw anything into creeks, ditches, ravines, or streams. Dumping is a violation of several Township Ordinances. Even grass clippings and branches can accumulate and plug channels. A plugged channel cannot carry water, causing great danger during rains. Each piece of trash contributes to flooding.... -If your property is next to a creek or ditch, please do your part by keeping the banks clear of brush and debris. The Township has a maintenance program which can help remove major blockages such as downed trees. -If you see dumping or debris in the creeks or ditches, contact the Public Works Department. -Always check with the Planning and Community Development Department before you build, alter, regrade, or deposit fill on your property. A permit may be needed to ensure that projects do not cause problems on other properties. -If you see building or filling without a Township permit sign posted, contact the Planning and Community Development Department at 412-831-9000. -Help yourself by understanding floodproofing, flood insurance and flood safety. http://www.twpusc.org/comm-dev/comm-dev-flood_services

The Township of Upper St. Clair has its regularly scheduled electronics recycling collection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 12 in the Community & Recreation Center parking lot. Participants will however be required to unload their own vehicle. No assistance will be given by our electronics recycling company due to Covid concerns. Township of Upper St. Clair Passes Budget With No Tax Increase for 12th Consecutive Year: Despite the challenging and uncertain economic environment resulting from the pandemic response, the Township of Upper St. Clair again accomplished a balanced budget with no tax increase. On Monday night, the Township of Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners approved the 2021 budget. In one week, Santa Claus is coming to town on the back of a fire truck! On Saturday, Dec. 12, The Upper St Clair Volunteer Fire Department will weave through our neighborhood streets with Santa Claus. This year will be a little different. Due to the pandemic, Santa requests that all boys and girls practice social distancing. No sitting on Santa's lap for photos this year. ... Also, the route will begin an hour earlier this year.
