We had an exciting day Friday! A group of TPDers put in some hard work cleaning up TPD’s section of Route 422 as part of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)'s Adopt-a-Highway program. Special shout out to TPDer, Janko Mamrilla, who was a #GoodSamaritan and helped change a woman’s tire who happened to pull over with a flat PennDOT’s Safety Patrol vehicle joined them shortly thereafter. Some of us continued enjoying the beautiful day together for an outdoor happy hour afterward. It was such a pleasure to be in each other's company again and improving our community at the same time! We are currently working with Green Lane Borough to conduct a study to help us examine ways to improve access to the regional trail network, and encourage complimentary land-use strategies. Our goal is to create an environment that is bicycle and pedestrian friendly with more direct access to the Perkiomen Trail, while activating re-investment in the Borough. This work coincidentally falls in conjunction with #TDMWeek! As we are working to help the Borough create a long-term ...plan to encourage the use of multiple transportation modes and increase trail connectivity for the surrounding area, we wanted to take a moment to call out this important week! Another goal for us in the 2020 holiday season was to bring a smile to NICU visitors' and staff's faces at the Phoenixville Hospital - Tower Health in Chester County, PA. We provided care packages for newborns' families visiting the NICU, as well as holiday cookies for staff. TPDers and our family members over the age of 16 were invited to participate in a Workout Wellness Challenge this October, encouraging us to all get up and moving (an average of 30 minutes per 2-person team each day to get points)! Participants worked on prioritizing staying active and focusing on one of many ways to lead a healthy lifestyle. Congrats to our winners, Mike Rolli/Sean Stanton & Kevin Johnson/Amy Johnson. #wellness #workplacewellness #stepitup #getmoving #movingforwardtogether

For many years, the US transportation system was the envy of the world. Today we barely crack the top 20, with many developing nations' systems far surpassing the US. Our #TransportationFunding #QuestionoftheWeek aims to raise awareness. Tune in next week for the answer, and the next question! #educate #engage #FundtheGap Associated Pennsylvania Constructors - APC
