When I asked Miss Harmony why she chooses to work with young children, this is what she had to say: "I have a huge heart when it comes towards children. There are times when I see them on the playground, in the supermarket, at a restaurant, or even just walking by. Young boys and girls are so adorable and by watching these little humans, I always feel a sense of love and compassion towards them. There are times when I feel that amazing feeling of love and I believe that a...mazing love comes from above! There are times when I had no clue on why it happened, but I knew it came from the Holy Spirit. Children are a gift from the Lord, the Bible states in Psalms Chapter 127 verse 3. It is not a mistake that children are on this earth because God alloed it for a reson. And he has a special plan for each and every one of us, including children! I care for children, just like our Heavenly Father cares for us as His children. And by caring for children at this facility this even makes me consider becoming a mother of my own. My family is big. I live in a house with 12 siblings and there are 3 sisters and 9 younger brothers. Ever since I was young, my parents always told me that I was going to be a great mom because growing up, me and my sisters never had a problem with changing diapers, feeding them, playing with them, supervising them, etc. To me personally, it was a very fun job to do, but at the same time I was still learning. Throughout the years, until this day, I still have that passion for children. I have two amazing talents: voice acting and visual arts. I usually try to combine these two together in order to create radio series, tv shows, or audio books for children. I believe that this is what God has called me to do. Working with children is amazing because each individual child has a unique personality, which is great! I love the way they show affection, learn through play, and communicate with peers. I know indeed that there are times when they can get out of hand, but that doesn't stop me from loving them and caring for them. Children are so special and they are also very special to God. This experience is great for me because I am a new adult and by me working with children, I have belief that this is an awesome stepping stone towards my future on becoming a mother and also for my artistic dreams!" #CCworkforceweek

Miss Brianna cites this as her reason why she works with young children: "I work with young children because I love watching how determined they are when they try and conquer new things. Seeing the smiles and joy on their faces when they achieve a new skill, weather it's the toddlers counting to 10 or the school agers walking themselves through a difficult math problem, it warms my heart and makes me proud of them and what I do. Watching their individual personalities and con...fidence shine through as they grow is amazing. No matter the child's age, they are all so kind and compassionate towards their peers and teachers and almost always willing to help each other with even the simplest tasks. Seeing these attributes in my own daughter and watching her learn and grow under the care of my coworkers is incredible. Knowing I also have that impact on a child's life and early learning makes me so happy." #CCworkforceweek

Miss Elizmarie in Preschool says, "The reason I love working with children is because I can be a role model for them now and get them ready for real school. For me that is an amazing experience because I get to help them through it all. I also like being apart of their learning stages and being there to see them grow up. Every morning coming into work I love seeing the joy on their faces when they see me walk in or when they run up to me to give me a big hug. They always tell me they miss me and it just brightens my days. Being apart of their life just grows a new bond with them all and not only am I their teacher but I can be their best friend." #CCworkforceweek

Miss Antoinette is new to us, but has worked in the ECE field for many years. She says, "My experiences in child care has been challenging and rewarding. For 21 years plus I've been in this field. Children are little humans that need love, protection, encouragement, guidance and care. My role as a teacher/teachers assistant is to provide all essentials needed to build a child development, to learn, experience new beginnings and guide them to a new world outside their home. I'm their mom away from mom. I do this not only because I love and care for my children who are mine for 8 hours but because I love taking care of God's babies." #C#CCworkforceweek

Miss Tiffany currently works in our Preschool room with our three and four year olds. She says, Working with kids is fun! It amazes me to see how every child learns and grows differently. Kids keep me young at heart and I love that not one day at work is the same. My favorite thing about working with children is seeing their stages of development. I love them all. I love seeing things from their eyes. Children also encourage me to use my imagination and find new creative ways to do things! #ccworkforceweek

Miss Amber has been at Traci’s Learning Center for 15 years! She mainly works with the School Age children but helps in other rooms whenever she is needed! She says this about her why: Ever since I was 4 all I wanted to be was a teacher. It's been an amazing 15 years teaching at Traci's Learning Center. I've come across so many great children with bright futures during my time here at the center. I love watching the many friendships that blossom. I love the smiles and pu...re excitement on the children's faces when they learn something new or accomplish something that they put their minds to. I love when I walk into a room and they run up to me with excitement and give me hugs. Being apart of the many milestones that are reached is simply amazing. There isn't anything in this world I would want to do then being part of the foundation of life in each if the children's lives. I love what I do and will always love teaching children! #CCworkforceweek
