I just listed this great Cape Cod in the Merwood Park section of Havertown. It's in great shape, but needs some updating. It's priced accordingly at $330,000. Three Bedrooms, 2 full baths, really nice yard and has a private drive with a detached garage. Message me if you think you may know someone who would be interested.

With today's technology, remote notarizations should be a permanent solution to streamline not only real estate transactions, but also all transactions that require a notarized document.

Real Estate consumers continue to amaze me. They're always trying to "game" a system that really works to their benefit. In the Philadelphia area, a Realtor is paid by the landlord, so there's no cost to the tenant. (Other places like NYC metro area are different). We make sure that the landlord is "legit", the paperwork is correct and the consumer's interests are met. They also have a legal recourse if there's a problem. Responding to a Craigslist rental ad not only creates a personal safety problem, but also greater legal and financial risks. Think about it. Police stations are now offering consumers a safe place to conduct Craigslist transactions. Maybe there's a reason. I feel sorry for these guys, but only to a point.

I'm often asked, "How's the real estate market?". I've been reading a lot of articles since the end of 2019 about where we're going. This is a summary of the major themes predicted for 2020.

Will your holiday decor include a turkey carcass? Open floor plans aren't the "must have" among buyers that they were. Defined spaces are becoming more acceptable because homeowners are realizing that nice tableware, fine linen and a festive centerpiece don't always complement the aftermath of meal prep. Sometimes a closed door is just what's needed to separate the work from the festivities. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
