There's still time to order your Valentine's Day gifts from our Acres Artisans entrepreneurs! Visit www.acresartisans.com and show your love for locally-made products! And for a limited time, every coffee mug order will come with a FREE sample packet of coffee from our friends at White Cane Coffee Company! Each label is even written in Braille -- how cool is that? In her own words, founder Erin explains: "The reason I wanted to start White Cane Coee is because, number o...ne, Who doesn’t love coee. But most importantly, my brothers and I are all on the Autism Spectrum and I am also blind. We have found that nding jobs [is] extremely dicult. In our experience, employers didn’t want to provide full time or a living wages to handicapped individuals. Or because of bullying on the job site staying at some jobs [was] unbearable. So, at 22, I started to ask, When you have the right people around you, the question stops being, ‘What can I do?’ but, ‘What’s stopping me?’ So here we are." "Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all people and provide jobs to the handicapped community at a living wage. Most of all, we want to provide you with a great cup of coee that benefits the disabled!"
New recipes are being made. It’s so fun to see the swirling oils combined with the help of a magnetic stir bar.

Construction on our aquaponics greenhouse is really coming along, and it’s already fostering opportunities for education and community connection! Earlier this week, talented bricklayers Steve and Eric kindly demonstrated their work and answered questions for our job skills participants Jake and Christian. Thanks again to our friends @centrefoundation for helping to make this project possible! We can’t wait to bring sustainable, locally-grown produce to a table near you!
