Pastor’s Corner June 2021 Mask Up!... With a great number of US citizens having received one or more COVID 19 vaccinations, the nation has eased up on pandemic restrictions. Under most circumstances, mask are no longer required in open spaces, indoor social distancing has been reduced and sports venues and restaurants etc. have been reopened. Although cases of those testing positive has declined and mask are no longer required under certain conditions, the threat is still with us. Many not wearing a mask have not been vaccinated, some who may be asymptomatic presenting the continued possibility of spread. What are we to do? We are to continue practicing masking when required, other protocols set forth by the CDC and practice God sense! Everyone will not get the virus; but, everyone should take precautions to circumvent it and follow the reduced pandemic procedures which give guidance to help prevent its spread. A condition everyone will face that none of the foregoing procedures or a vaccine can provide protection from is death! All who die without the mask (the covering) of the saving blood of the Savior will face eternal damnation. However; there is a way through the physical death to eternal life! Those under the atoning blood of our Savior Jesus Christ are covered by the divine mask of redemption and eternal salvation. Mask up and protect yourself from contaminants of the world; but, more importantly, be under the coverage of the saving mask of eternal salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!
