Southwestern Pennsylvania World War II Memorial

If you haven't ever heard or the D-Day Reenactment in Conneaut Ohio and the WWII Veteran Program there, it is the largest gathering of WWII Veterans in the United States. Only eclipsed by the 75th Anniversary Commemoration of the Normandy landings this past June 6th 2019 in France, the recreation of that Day of Days attracts living historians from all over the world to recreate that longest day. Located in nearby Conneaut Ohio, the event is only a 2 hour drive to the shore...s of Lake Erie 28 miles west of Erie. Event dates are the 15th, 16th and 17th of August. The event, now in it's 20th year, has hosted over a thousand WWII Veterans since the formal Veteran Program was formed in 2010. Eric P. Montgomery, same person that presents the annual Pearl Harbor Anniversary Program at the Southwestern Pennsylvania World War II Memorial, serves the event as its WWII Veteran Coordinator.
