Petitions for November 7-8, 2020 Beloved, You care for Mother Church and her leaders as your own flesh. For the wisdom to show our congregation at St. Vincent dePaul a path to salvation, we pray to the Lord. Beloved, our country and its leaders are going through a transition at this time. Forthe wisdom to remain calm and peaceful, regardless of the deep divisions, we prayto the Lord.... Beloved, shower your Divine Breath over all your people. For all those who are suffering due to the loss of employment, housing and food scarcity, we pray to the Lord. Beloved, use your Divine Power to strike down the evils of injustice and racism, so prevalent in our world today. For an awakening of minds and hearts to anti-racist practices and behaviors, we pray to the Lord. Beloved, share your Divine Goodness with all who await your return. For our dearly departed loved ones, that we may be united with them in your Eternal Kingdom, we pray to the Lord. Submitted by Terry Trudeau

Dear friends: For anyone who is stressed today, here is an insight from Jesuit spirituality: Hope comes from God. Despair does not. Listen to those voices (bot...h interior and exterior) that encourage you, that uplift you, that calm you. Any voice saying "It's hopeless" or "Things will never change," is not coming from God. As an aside, panic is most definitely not coming from God. Follow the voice of hope. Ignore that of despair.
