We were doing balayage in the past, but decided to go for a more highlighted route this time. I opted for a combo of standard weave foils & foilayage to cover and blonde as much as possible. From BALAYAGE 2 FOILS . SWIPE FOR BEFORE . My client had grown out balayage from December but wanted to change things up and go a highlighted rou...te. This way the color was closer to the root and would blend some gray she has. Because the gray is scattered, I went with a natural weave and slice to seamlessly blend any of those sparkly hairs Because there were so many inches of regrowth, it will take at least another session to catch up her roots and mid section to her ends. We also cut off 3 inches, and added way more layering and angles. She has a TON of hair, so this lightened things up for her and gave some more movement and volume. When the hair gods are with you and against you all at the same time . SWIPE FOR BEFORE . My client has been bright pink for quite some time, and up keep...s it at home with a pigmented conditioner. She decided she wants to eventually do a pastel color, but since we didn’t have the time for it all today, our goal was just to get as much of the pink out as possible. Although it was faded a decent amount, and she hadn’t used the conditioner at home in a few weeks, that mid section WOULD NOT BUDGE. Luckily I prepared her for this possibility before even starting, as lightening these colors can be unpredictable. . Started off painting @joico color eraser from her ends and blended it up a few inches away from her roots. After processing, we followed up with a full highlight with @goldwellus silk strong lift, going over most of the remaining pink that was still left (I should’ve took a during pic, because there was still a lot!). Even her foils were not breaking through all the old color. This is when we hairstylists start sweating a little bit She was ok with the left over pink, and toning to the blonde. Once we glazed, cut and styled, I took a step back and was like Damn. I actually really like this and my client loved it as well! . Moral of the story- sometimes being open to different/ all possibilities, will give you the best outcome! Quarantine hair NO MORE!!! This beautiful teacher decided to have a complete transformation after waiting 4 months to get back in the Salon!! We decided to cut first to give her a gorgeous textured look, then gave her beautiful honey highlights and covered her base with a warm rich brown color. The results were pure magic!! After 4 long months of waiting, this essential worker decided to embrace her grey!! We decided to just do a session of highlights and lowlights and finish with a glaze and wow, did it turn out beautiful!! We will continue this process 2-3 more times or until the grow out is complete.
