Yesterday we announced four new COVID-19 mitigation efforts in Pennsylvania. Here’s what you need to know. 1 Masks are still required indoors and outdoors. Ma...sks are required indoors anytime you’re with people outside of your household even if you’re socially distant. This applies to all indoor facilities. It also applies if you have people in your home not part of your household. 2 Anyone who visits Pennsylvania from another state is now required to get tested within 72 hours before entering PA. Pennsylvanians who travel to other states must follow the same rules when coming home. This doesn’t apply to those who commute to/from another state for work or medical treatment. 3 The Pennsylvania Department of Health issued a memo to acute care hospital CEOs/CMOs outlining opportunities to work collaboratively, and expectations if they don’t, to ensure health systems can provide care to Pennsylvanians who need it. 4 The Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Education issued recommendations for colleges and universities to develop and implement a testing strategy to prevent outbreaks when students return to campus from the holiday break.
