We are currently registering for the 2019-2020 school year! Open classes are: PreK Long Wednesday meets Monday and Friday from 9 am to 11:30 am and Wednesday 9 am to 3 pm with a explicit focus on kindergarten readiness. ... Pre-K Counts! Scholarship Program for children ages 3-5 and is needs based. The class meets Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2:30 pm. The mission of St. Stephen’s Nursery School is to nurture the social, emotional spiritual and academic development of the young child within a play-based environment. Through the use of the Creative Curriculum we are able to conduct 6 different unit studies. During the unit studies children have the opportunity to learn and play with his/her peers in a variety of ways. Our classes will work on self-help skills, small and large motor skills, letter and number recognition, communication, and several other cognitive and social skills developmentally appropriate for their age. We will cover these areas using a variety of methods to ensure that learning is always fun and interesting for your child with, various activities both teacher led and student initiated, that allow your child to grow into an independent preschooler.
