Some serious storms coming our way this afternoon.

The Springfield Fire Company would like to thank a young future firefighter and his mom, who brought pictures and home made cookies for our members. The young man learned most of our firefighters are volunteer, he then went home to get money out of his piggy bank to donate to the fire co. We truly appreciate the kind gesture of this young man and his mother.... Also, thanks to Firefighter Eric Felker for taking the time to show these kind folks around.

This Saturday 12/19/20, will be the last day of the SFC Christmas Parade. Please review the information below: -The procession will begin at 10am and run until the remaining sections of the town are covered -We are unable to predict when we will arrive at any specific section of the Township or street... -Below is our current procession route, in order street by street this route is tentative and possibly subject to slight change in the order -If you are looking for a time frame or updates on where the procession is in the route we recommend you regularly check the app we will be using that allows you to track our movement in real time -The link to the tracking app will be posted early tomorrow morning, make sure YOU ARE USING THE MOST CURRENT LINK FOR THIS APP, links previously posted for prior tour dates will not work tomorrow -We ask residents whose streets are included on this list to please (if possible) be mindful of the parking in the street, due to the snow conditions if cars are parked in the street far from the curb it may inhibit the procession from being able to get down a street. So please if you are parking in the street try and get as close to the curb as possible

The Springfield Fire Company was devastated to learn of the sudden passing of Firefighter Ethan J. Byrne. Ethan Byrne joined the Springfield Fire Company as a Cadet Firefighter, in May of 2017. In December of 2018, Ethan transitioned into the rank of Junior Firefighter. Ethan made a significant impact throughout his tenure in the Springfield Fire Company. He consistently volunteered his time responding to emergency incidents, and was always willing to participate and help ...in any and all community events attended by the Fire Company. Ethan was respected, and beloved by every member of the Company. The Springfield Fire Company, and the community of Springfield Township have lost a valued member, and for that we will be in mourning. We ask the residents of Springfield township, and our brothers and sisters in the Fire Service to keep his family and friends in your thoughts and in your prayers. https://www.olearyfuneral.com/obituary/Ethan-Byrne https://www.gofundme.com/f/firefighter-ethan-j-byrne-memori
