Tomorrow marks the beginning of the #FestivalOfLights for our Hindu neighbors. Here's a #FlashbackFriday to SHIM's last Diwali celebration.

The holidays may look a bit different this season but coming together is more important than ever. We invite you to join us for SHIM's 54th Annual (and 1st Virtual) Interfaith Thanksgiving Service featuring Rabbi Aaron Meyer from Temple Emanuel of South Hills, Reverend Brian Snyder from Bower Hill Community Church - Presbyterian USA, Visala S. Muluk, MD from Chinmaya Mission Pittsburgh, Benjamin Aysan from Turkish Cultural Center Pittsburgh and special musical performances. Join us on YouTube or right here on Facebook on November 24 at 7 pm to pray for the healing of our community during these trying times. #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors #TogetherInToughTimes

Since the pandemic began, 2,600 neighbors have visited SHIM for the first time. With the holiday season approaching, we encourage those in need of food to visit one of SHIM's three food pantries. View the hours and learn more at shimcares.org/get-help. #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors #TogetherInToughTimes

About 30% of food SHIM distributes each year comes from generous community donors like you. Be a hero for your South Hills community and host a drive on behalf of SHIM. You can download the printable flyer at bit.ly/2HGlJMY. #TogetherInToughTimes #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors

Growing greens AND a sense of community. Our Alexander Gilfillan garden harvested a total of 1,105 pounds of produce this season. We are so thankful to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair School District and the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair for their partnership. #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors #TogetherInToughTimes
