The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission just allocated $1M to restore the historic Shawmont Station. I know many people were interested in this historic building - hopefully it will become a destination for cyclists, runners, and rail enthusiasts.

Henry Croskey owned and operated Green Tree (Shawmont Station) from 1835 to 1857. He is responsible for creating Green Tree Run, Green Tree Lane (Shawmont Ave) and Green Tree Station. He also owned and operated the Ridge Avenue Railway in 1874.
Thomas Shaw, Who the town is named after, in 1893, age 55.
