Senior Hearts Rescue & Renewal

Earlier this week we unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our near 18yr young Furever Foster Tiger. He suffered a medical emergency and there was nothing that could be done to help him. He passed away peacefully in the arms of his Furever Foster family while at the emergency hospital. Tiger came to us almost two years ago. His owner had passed and we were asked to help. We did a great amount of medical work on him. But he had many chronic issues including a high grade heart mu...rmur, liver problems, arthritis, and more. We elected to place Tiger as a Furever Foster so we could provide for him for the rest of his life. He lived in a wonderful furever home with Danielle and Deidre. He had Senior Hearts alumni dog siblings. He enjoyed walks in the yard, and later on stroller rides in the neighborhood. His family fought for who got to carry him around! Tiger was greatly loved and had a high quality of life. As Tiger aged his medical needs became greater. His tummy started having issues. His arthritis got worse. But he was watched over and provided great care. Thank you to those who donate to our Furever Foster program. It ensures special senior dogs like Tiger can get the care they deserve. Thank you Danielle and Deidre for giving little Tiger a home and family. Though we know he is missed, remember what a great thing you did for Tiger. Tiger, you can run again and eat anything you want. We will see you later.

Yes, of course, I am ready for dinner. I’m also ready to find my furver home. I’m 11yrs young and weigh 25lbs. I have a chi face in a jrt body! I’m a friendly guy, albeit a bit shy at first when I meet new people. But once I get to know you we will be loyal BFFs furever. ... I enjoy long walks and getting all the sniffs in outside. I like other dogs, as long as they aren’t too young or too wild. I’m in good health. I even just had a dental surgery. I am house trained. I can be adopted within a two hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA. Welcome Sasha to Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal. This 13yr young Maltese’s owner has serious health issues. So a family member, who just happens to be one of our foster mums took her in. Sasha is now in our care with her family member/our foster mum helping her get renewed. Thank you Nell. Sasha will get our full medical renewal including bloodwork and most likely a dental surgery. We will then find her a well matched furever home where she can live a high a high quality rest of life.

I had a spa afternoon yesterday thanks to my new friends at Happy Tailz Pet Spa. Today I’m at this doggie doctor place for my intial medical workup. They are going to steal blood and check me over real closely. I know my teeth are very bad so I will need surgery. It would be nice if some of you could donate for my medical and surgical care so I can have a great rest of life. xoxoxo Hazel
