Great news! All test results of employees have come back negative. There was one hold out from today and we just got the results. I will be reopening this Thursday at 11am. We will spend the next two days preparing for the weekend. Thank you to everyone for understanding and I hope that my transparency on this issue allows you to trust that Rockaway is a place that’s always gonna follow safety procedures and tell the truth, even if it’s hard. Businesses are free to run their places how they see fit, but for me, it will always be people over profit. See you Thursday. - Josh

Since I have some time off, I’m gonna use this page to address something a bit different. My sister and brother-in-law started a nonprofit at the beginning of the pandemic called The Mckeesport Agape Center, delivering food to people who do not have cars, can’t get to the food bank, or who are too vulnerable or sick to get to the store. They help a lot of kids and senior citizens who would otherwise go hungry. They volunteer six days a week. The Mon Valley is also considered... a food desert. That means folks don’t have access to many neighborhood grocery stores. The amount of poverty in this area is immense. At the time I am writing this, they are also providing 428 families with toys for their kids Christmas. They are doing this without government or corporate grants. They really could use financial assistance. All donations are tax deductible. Whatever you can give - 1 dollar, 5 dollars, 50 dollars - it all helps. Hello. I am the making the difficult decision to close down for a few days. I have a few coworkers who are sick, and waiting on covid results. In the event they are negative, we will be open business as usual. If they are positive, I will keep you updated on what’s going on. This is both for you guys, and members of my family, who are at high risk, should they contact covid. No amount of money is worth endangering this community, and people I care about. This is at the worst possible time, in the midst of a robust grand opening, but it seems no one is exempt from this pandemic. Thanks for understanding. - Josh
