Ridley Township Board of Commissioners 28.01.2021

Thank you, Lindsay McDevitt, for sharing the 6abc Action News coverage of today's event. Special thanks again to Ridley Township Police Department, Corporal McDevitt, officers from near and far, family, friends, and community members for helping to make today so special for Anthony. #RidleyProud

The Ridley Township Board of Commissioners would like to commend Corporal Jason McDevitt, of the Ridley Township Police Department, on his efforts to help a local young man in his time of need. Anthony, a Township resident and proud supporter of law enforcement, recently decided to start up a collection of law enforcement patches. Sadly, Anthony has had some bad breaks in his ongoing battle with Epilepsy and Autism. Corporal McDevitt rallied up his contacts in hopes of gather...ing a couple of extra patches to contribute to Anthony’s cause. In a matter of weeks, through the power of social media and the internet, patches started coming in from all across the country, reaching as far as Hawaii! Today, hundreds of patches were presented to Anthony, and the vibe from all involved was incredible. We thank Corporal McDevitt for coordinating this sincere act of kindness and for reminding us all of how proud we are to live in a community that truly cares! See more
