A week ago we celebrated the legacy of Shaphan Dulo. He was the visionary and first Principal of LightHouse Academy. I, Dorothy, was blessed to have him as my d...ad. I learnt so much from him. The work of Rafiki in the communities we serve was founded through his guidance, passion and commitment. He has passed this Light that we will forever keep shining by God's grace. Today is #givingtuesdaynow. LightHouse Academy students and staff are faced with the challenges of COVID19 and lots of raining causing flooding and destruction... of the school farm. This is the scene of Rafiki farm today. Lots of rain have caused the river to overflow and sweep away our crops. These bananas were expected to mature in a month. Without them our cost of feeding our students will double. With schools closing early and not opening soon, our students who depend on meals and other supplies at school are in need of the same support at home. With the prices of food greatly increasing, they are not able to meet their needs daily. This fundraiser will also support our dedicated staff to make sure they can continue to provide for their families. We can't do this without your support.
