UPDATE. COLUMBIA BOROUGH COUNCIL UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED FREE PARKING ON SATURDAYS THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2020. Attention downtown businesses! Please contact Col...umbia Borough council members and ask them to support our initiative to offer free parking on Saturdays to attract visitors our businesses. There is nothing more disappointing than a happy, satisfied customer leaving your business with a positive experience only to find a $10 ticket on their windshield. Sadly, this is what they will remember and tell their friends about our town. Now more than ever our businesses need all the help we can get. This is one step... It’s time.

What a year it has been! The Pandemic has gripped our fears and has awakened the appreciation for our front-line workers; Nurses. Do you know of a special nurse who has been dedicated, has sacrificed and has been courageous this year? Hinkle’s Restaurant and Murphy’s Mercantile wants to recognize them on National Nurse’s Day. Nominate a nurse’s full name below by Monday, May 4th by 6 pm. We will reward the first 100 winners with a $10 gift certificate to each business! (a $20 value). Plus, we will enter YOU to win the same certificate for yourself! Gift certificates will be honored for Hinkle’s Restaurant’s current takeout menu as well as Murphy’s Mercantile’s curbside pickup or when normal business hours resume. Valid nurse credentials and/or ID required for gift certificate claim pick up. The random winner will be selected and announced on May 5th.
