Been sanding way to long yesterday this grain started singing about a dental floss tycoon then I realized it was Frank.

Eli is making little tiny houses for naked pickups.

Custom 7 string Nordstrand bass pickups with different spacing between each pole piece to accommodate string width. Eli is making custom covers for them boring each hole on the mill to the thousandths of an inch. Like a glove no CNC just math and gifted craftsman. Eli is amazing.

So happy with our clear coat Eli has been spraying in our shop. Have a bit to go yet before installing all the furniture and stinging her up. She’s mine and built from all scraps and trash from the shop. Presenting my own Trashcaster she is my personal twanger just testing out the clear on a few instruments first. It’s made from a natural product but is harder than nitro, chemical/alcohol won’t touch it, it’s 2K and feels like lacquer.. Back to work..

Headless 7 string neck gets a nut and some more shaping.

My partner was at the mill a mile from his house today. Now that’s a piece of maple. Talarico Hardwoods some of the absolutely insane wood in the world.

DK Parsons back in the shop with another totally insane cool basses. He’s like a rolling museum of rare and unusual bad ass basses. First of all the Fender case is from 1969 and in almost perfect condition (Just like me!) The body is a 1970 Jazz but sit your bottom end down for this! It’s 38 scale tuned a full step down so at the 2nd fret it’s a standard EADG 34 and it fits in a standard Fender case and Pao Ferro board on a Modulus type carbon fiber neck and I like run on sentences when I’m excited. So cool and he has the mold to make more like Doritos.
