MEATLESS FRIDAY MEAL IDEA #2 ZAPIEKANKI! (Also known as Polish pizza ) These open-faced sandwiches are a popular street food in Poland. You can use our recipe to make your own or go the easier route and pick up some frozen kind from us baguette... unsalted butter sliced mushrooms diced onion grated cheese of choice (we like MIETANKOWY for its melting properties and mild taste) Polish ketchup salt and pepper to taste preheat oven to 350 cut the baguette in half lengthwise and again crosswise to make 4 pieces sauté mushrooms and onions in butter with a little salt and pepper top baguette with mushrooms and onions and sprinkle with cheese bake for about 10 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is crispy drizzle with Polish ketchup and enjoy!
