Out of a sense of "better safe than sorry" we will be closed for an indeterminate amount of time. Sorry for any inconvenience and see you after the insanity ebbs.

Our cup runneth over with a large amount of new electronic singles. Techno, dubstep, glitch, house, minimal techno, club, disco... Most are from the mid-aughts and are unplayed. A big ol section to browse.

4 fantastic and under-the-radar new releases in stock right now!!! Slender puts us in mind of a more overtly punk Thinking Fellers (and offshoots like White Shark and Mr Hageman ((but not the almighty US Saucer)) ), offering up real deal songcraft of twisting psychy pop quirk. Doronco Gumo was a Rallizes Denudes bassist but this is not rock at all- just a matter of fact voice and stark, squelching electronic beats that will delight any Vanity Records fan. Very bizarre but eve...ryone who has heard it in the shop has been blown away. CIA Debutante is a French duo also working with voice and electronics but their world is a murkier affair, with mumbled narratives straight out of the Shadow Ring school of intrigue, caked in an uneasy atmosphere. And a reissue of Willie Lane's third, and best, record of ruraldelic instrumental guitar excursions, with one foot in folk/blues, one foot in Fripp styled experimentation, and the third in nimble west coast psych flutter. And many others including, including Carla Dal Forno, Christoph Heemann, original copies of Jack Rose's Dr Ragtime and His Pals, DDT, some New Zealand reissues like Kiwi Animal and Entlang (post Garbage and Flowers!), Bert Jansch, John Martyn, some Actuel reissues, plenty more! If you've been laying low since Thanksgiving tomorrow night should be a graceful one to get you back into life. 2 bands, zoned synth sounds, $5, not a late night, easy going. Please consider attending.

Finally available again- the magnificent, sole lp by Kak! A rare instance where the hype sticker is totally on point- to call it a "west coast classic" is entirely accurate. Not a freak out studio acid trip, it's just completely impeccable songs that retain the same post-garage, mass of energy as the first Moby Grape. This is the kind of thing that blows away everyone who hears it, not just drooling psych collectors. European import so it's a little pricy but you're worth it (maybe).
