A beautiful day for some behind the scenes pre-season sprucing!

Those people are wrong.

Some say anticipation of something is the best part.

KIDNAPPED!!!! It is with a heavy heart, we must report that Iceberg has been kidnapped. At first we thought as a teenager he just ran away for a few days. But after review of the security footage we have found that he was kidnapped. To be clear we have not yet been contacted by the perpetrators, but rest assured we will do whatever we can to get Iceberg back in one piece. To say we are DEFLATED is an understatement. Iceberg was a small beacon of Christmas Cheer for the weary travelers driving the long road from Greenville to Hermitage. We will update as the case proceeds. Some have said we don't have a snow balls chance .... of ever finding him. But we will do our best. If you have any information that could lead to the whereabouts of Iceberg, please let us know.

North Star Marina is proud to support our local community and their effort to preserve and protect our lake. Please Read below. NOTICE: Friends of Shenango Lake is currently an IDEA hoping to become a 501 c(3) Foundation, with the sole purpose to support the Shenango Lake. With guidance and knowledge from the US Army Corp of Engineers, this groups goal will be to help Fund, Guide, and Develop areas of the Shenango Lake. Once formed this organization will have it...s own Board of Directors, Volunteers, Fundraising, and Projects. At this point we are asking to get the word out, to all that may wish to contribute their time, money, resources, or ideas and direct them to our Facebook group. Once we have successfully garnered enough interest in solidifying our charter, we will set forward to elect a Board of Directors and seek to establish our 501c(3) status. Below are links to both our Facebook Group for members and our Facebook page for the public. If you wish to Join please request access to the group and you will be admitted. My hope is that we would be able to establish a BoD by January 1st 2021 and have in place our credentials by April. Once complete we will seek ideas for development projects that could include Walking Trails, Facility Improvements, Educational Programs, Fishery Improvements, Community Outreach. What we will need to succeed. Finance Committee, Fund Raising Committee, Volunteer Steering Committee, Local Government involvement. We have removed most of our navigation buoys for the season. Please continue to exercise caution and watch out for shoals/hazard areas. Also, with temperatures getting cooler, it is important to always wear your life jacket when in or around the water!
