Information on how to enter a float in our annual Agricultural Parade on June 29th, 2021. The 39th Annual Agricultural Parade will be held Tuesday, June 29, 202...1 during the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park’s July 4th Celebration. The Parade is held to honor agriculture, the military, area businesses, civic groups and marching units. The parade starts at 6:00 p.m. Sharp. Lineup no later than 5:30 p.m. as follows: 1) Parade dignitaries, marching groups and antique cars meet at the Brethren in Christ Church parking lot. 2) Floats and participants meet at Sunset Drive. 3) Fire trucks and tractor trailers meet on Apple Packer Road. 4) Agricultural equipment, businesses, horses and remaining entries meet at Central High School. The Parade ends at the Memorial Park. You may use the temporary exit route behind the Park to Route 164. After the parade, enjoy the celebration with amusement rides, food, entertainment, games and lots of family fun! Morrisons Cove Memorial Park is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and does not receive any direct government funding. Our mission is supported by donations from the public and income from the programs we offer. Dana Helsel of Martinsburg, 2020/2021 Blair County Dairy Princess, gave an excellent presentation at the Morrisons Cove Rotary Club meeting on May 11. Dana shared how she introduced virtual learning the past year for opportunities to reach youth and Blair County communities, talk about the benefits of dairy products, and for the first time was able to include cows being milked in live time! Thank you Dana and best of luck at the University of Pittsburgh. Had a Celebration of life today on the farm for a good friend Charlie Doutt who passed away in January. Charlie made many friends through Civil War re-enacting.... There were re-enacters from over 10 states to honor Charlie. Charlie was a local building contractor that very few contractors could hold a candle to. Gail and I were very honored to have provided our farm for this Celebration! See more
