A breed near and dear to my heart- it would be great if someone adopted him and brought him in for me to take care of! My old dogs would NOT be OK with a new puppy coming home with me- lol
While this post is aimed at breeders raising litters of pups, it does a great job of explaining why some dogs have such issues with their feet being touched. It also does a pretty good job of explaining how we approach critical husbandry procedures that are part of grooming- 1)Keep everybody safe 2) Get the job done as quickly and low stress as possible without getting emotional (at least in our part- lol) and 3) Lots of praise and cookies at the end! By the way, we LOVE getting puppies who are raised responsibly- it makes our job easier! https://www.facebook.com/225489164303299/posts/1569928163192719/?extid=0&d=n
