Google is rolling out the new Core Web Vitals update very soon. What’s this CWV and how does it affect me, you ask? Here are the details: What & Why: It’s a way of measuring key metrics on your website to ensure that the user has a great experience. It’s important to you because it may affect how you show up in google search results. ... How: the 3 key measurements are site speed, responsiveness and overall wonkiness (yes, that’s a technical term ). 1. LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) - measures page load speed. How quickly does it take for your largest element (image, video, hero slider) to load? 2. FID (First Input Delay) - measures responsiveness. Are the buttons, links etc working properly and quickly? 3. CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) - this is our wonkiness measurement. Are things moving or shifting around as you try to navigate the website?
