And so it begins! The first call to 13805 begins with a fly out. Stay safe out there folks!

Dark and early this morning. Company 9 units, and surrounding mutual aid departments, were alerted to the 9-01 box for an appliance fire! Conditions reported were an oven on fire, inside of the residence. Captain 9 arrived on the scene and found the heating element had burned through, and was glowing cherry red with the oven off. Captain 9 unplugged the oven and had engine 9-1 proceed in to confirm no extension to the residence. No extension was found, and all units returned to service.

Folks these roads are slick! If you don’t NEED to be out, stay home! Keep the plow truck drivers in your thoughts and remember they can only clear the roads so fast. As of right now we have Welsh Run Road shut down at Dumeny Rd and Bradley Rd. Multiple incidents have happened around the county already, stay safe and take your time if you must be out in this!
