#FlashbackFriday to 1977... Fire safety is just as important now as it was then. In an emergency, young children may be afraid of firefighters & hide. By seeing the firefighter dressed in full gear in their classroom, the children may be less fearful & see there's a person inside the uniform. And teaching preschoolers about community helpers helps them understand that everyone has a role in the community. #FBF #50yearsofcaring

The Pre-K Counts classes from LVCC's Judith Chase Early Learning Center in Allentown, along with many of LVCC's other sites didn't want to miss out on their annual pumpkin patch field trip, so we brought the farm to the classroom! After taking a virtual field trip of the @valleyfruitsandveggies farm to learn how food grows, the children went outside to discover an urban pumpkin patch popped up in their new playground! #UrbanPumpkinPatch
