Lower Providence Parks and Recreation is offering an ARC Certification Babysitting Course for youths 11-15 yrs old. The one day class will run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 6th. This class offers training and skill development needed to provide safe and responsible care for children. Masks will be worn by participants and instructors during the class and social distancing will be in place. For more information and to register visit www.lptrec.com.
ROAD CLOSURE - Route 29 (First Avenue) in Collegeville Borough, will be closed on Friday, October 30, through Saturday, November 14 for roadway realignment. REMINDER: Friday 10/30 is the deadline for submission of nominations for the Township's 2020 Community Awards. The Board of Supervisors is seeking nominations for its Citizen, Volunteer and Business of the Year. Lower Providence Township's Public Works facility will be a drop-off site to recycle campaign signs and metal stands after the election. The Township's collection site will be located in the parking lot of the Public Works facility at 500 Church Road in Eagleville. It will be available Nov. 4 through Nov. 12. The recycling effort is being led by Montgomery County and there are several additional drop-off sites around the county.

Lower Providence Parks & Recreation and Police Department partnered with Montgomery County Senior Services and County Detectives for a drug take back event today. The Pill Take Back Mobile Mini, sponsored by the county District Attorney’s office and fitted with pill disposal box in the cargo area, was used for the collection. Thanks to all who came out to safely dispose of their unused or expired medication.
The Township Administration Building will be closed for in-person municipal services on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020. The building serves as a polling location with constant voter turnout throughout the day and because of COVID restrictions currently in place, in-person services will be unavailable. We apologize for this one-day inconvenience but feel this is necessary for the safety of our staff and residents. Township staff will be accessible and available by phone and email on Nov. 3 for those needing to do business.
