On this day 17 years ago, almost 3,000 people were killed in the largest terrorist attack on American soil. The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead we have emerged stronger and more unified. We feel renewed devotion to the principles of political, economic and religious freedom, the rule of law and respect for human life. We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families who lost loved ones on that horrific day. GOD BLESS AMERICA
As we approach the July 4th holiday, I reflect on our beautiful and free nation and how lucky I am to have been born here. Never take your freedom for granted. G-D Bless America!! Be safe everyone and if you’re driving, please buckle up.
I just learned of the untimely passing of a very dear long time friend of mine, attorney, AJ Sciolla. AJ and I go back many years. I was an usher at his wedding. We worked for years together at the City Solicitors Office in the mid 70s. We shared so many wonderful memories over the 40 plus years we've been friends. AJ was an excellent lawyer. He was a man you could trust, a man you could count on. If AJ was your friend, he always had your back. I will miss the great times ove...r the years we had going out to lunch together when we met up at a law seminar. He was always in a good mood, always smiling and so much fun to be around. He loved to talk about his beloved daughters, Alyse and Samantha and his wife, Gail. My heartfelt condolences and sympathies go out to them and their entire family. I posted a picture taken about a year and a half ago at my 40th reunion from Delaware Law School with some of my very best friends. I loved AJ and will miss him dearly! RIP my friend! See more

My staff and I want to wish everyone a very HAPPY and SAFE July 4th holiday! Some interesting facts about this holiday:... - US Independence was formally declared on July 2, 1776. - On July 4, 1776, Congress approved the final text of the Declaration of the Independence. - The first public reading of the Declaration of Independence was in the city of Philadelphia, July 8, 1776. - Although August 2, 1776, was the date of the official signing ceremony, there were several people who signed on later dates. Some of these late signers included: Elbridge Gerry, Oliver Wolcott, Lewis Morris, Thomas McKean and Matthew Thornton. - In 1870, Independence Day was officially made an unpaid holiday for Federal employees. And in 1941, it became a paid holiday for them. Enjoy your holiday weekend! NEHS Class of '67. An INCREDIBLE night reconnecting with all of my high school classmates. A special shout out to Fred Blum for making this amazing day possible!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a safe and happy New Year!
Let's not forget to honor and thank the brave men and woman who have served and sacrificed throughout the years for the greatest country in the world. God bless them and God Bless America!
Today marks the 15th anniversary of terror attacks when tragedy struck our great nation. Nearly 3,000 people were killed on September 11, 2001 when 19 Al-Qaeda suicide bombers hijacked four passenger jets, crashing them into the Twin Towers in New York, the Pentagon in Washington and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Let's pray for the lives lost and for their families who lost their lives on 9/11.
I am deeply saddened by the senseless murder of 50 people at a Florida nightclub. This heinous terrorist attack against innocent civilians is outrageous. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and their loved ones.
