"Hello? Yes I'm calling about costumes for my show coming up. When is it? Oh, it's next week." While we typically don't supply costumes in that short time span, we do offer 10 Day rentals for schools and theaters to practice wearing our costumes during Tech Week. Costumes arrive on a Friday, and you have the weekend, tech week, and performance dates to showcase our beautiful costumes! After the weekend, box them up and ship them back on a Monday. It's as simple as that! Call and ask us about our 17 Day Rental prices as well. More days to rent costumes means more days to practice in them. 717-945-7310 www.looking4costumes.com *Photo shown here is a maid costume used for "Noises Off"

Sometimes when costuming a musical, it's not about creating the most whimsical, colorful, and sparkling garments on stage. Sometimes it's about portraying real characters from historic time periods and nailing the authenticity of their day to day life. "Trav'lin" is a musical which does just that, set in 1930's Harlem. It was the decade when the music was swinging, bands were big and the Harlem Renaissance was in high gear. It premiered at the New York Musical Theater Festival in 2010 and received highly acclaimed praises for the book written by Gary Holmes and Allen Shapiro and costume design by Janell Berte' herself! Music and lyrics were written by famous composer J.C. Johnson and pictured here is Equity Actor Gabrielle Goyette. Check out more photos of this musical on our website: www.looking4costumes.com

Sometimes we go to New York just to see our friends in a show! Here’s Josh Tower after "School House Rock". He is better known as Barry Gordy in "Motown", Simba in "The Lion King" and most recently as Aaron Burr in "Hamilton", truly a super star! We try to see as much theater on Broadway as we can to inspire us to create new shows and have fresh new ideas for costumes. Check out what we have created so far on our website: www.looking4costumes.com

Alot of people inquire about the fairy tale characters from "Shrek", especially Pinocchio. They are very curious how his nose grows onstage. Well.... here is the secret revealed! It's a hook connected to a hose that the actor keeps in his pocket. He pulls on he hook, and the wooden nose starts to expand. Then he is able to push the hook back into place for the nose to retract. Check out more photos of "Shrek" on our website: www.looking4costumes.com or give us a call for more information! 717-945-7310

We burst into tears every time we see productions use hand-me-down garments to costume their characters. Let us take care of the costume design with our well maintained, freshly designed costumes. This production of "It Shoulda Been You" featured Equity actors Kim Zimmer and Joel Briel at Mt. Gretna Theater back in 2016.
