Linntown Intermediate School

Linntown Families, Any day that remote learning is happening there will be lunches provided for pickup outside the front doors of Linntown between 11:30am and 1:00pm. Families with multiple students in different buildings may pick up at one location.

Today, Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Derr’s classes discussed and read about wildfires in reading class. Mrs. Bennett’s son then zoomed with both classes and gave first hand accounts of living in Oregon during recent wildfires. He also shared with the class how he used his artwork to band together local artists to raise thousands of dollars for animals that were injured in a major wildfire in Australia. Both classes wrapped up the day by using what they learned to make cards to send to a wildlife sanctuary in Australia.

After studying the Apollo 11 space mission, Ms. Nornhold and Mrs. Trapani's classes learned about space suits and how they are designed to protect astronauts in space. The students had a challenge to design newspaper space shoes for a female in their group. They had certain materials to use, a time limit, and other qualifications that needed to be met. Great job kids!!
