Dear Liberty Lands Friends, We are busy planting seeds for the upcoming months carrots, beets, radishes, broccoli, kale, tomatoes, peppers, onions, beautiful flowers, and on and on. The garlic plants are now popping 4 or 5 inches above the ground. We will soon put strawberry plants in the ground. Our rosemary plants are beginning to turn green again. Thankfully, we already have our seeds, our soil, our compost, and our garden tools. We are prepared for a full season of farm...ing, and we are off to a great start. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, and the social distancing that is being recommended, it is possible we will not be able to hold a normal farmer's market to start the season or perhaps for the entire season. If that is the case, we will of course deliver our CSA members' weekly share of vegetables, bouquets, and eggs to your door. We will also offer free delivery to anyone who would have come to the park to shop for veggies. We will send an email to anyone interested during the week with a list of the food and flowers we have available. You reply back with a list of what you would like, and we will deliver a box of food to your door on Saturday when we would normally be at the farmer's market stand. The first CSA shares start on June 6. We have been planning to open the farmer's market stand on May 30, so that will most likely be the first date we will offer delivery orders. But this new reality we are living in has increased our urgency to get seeds in the ground ASAP, so we may be able to offer delivery orders earlier than May 30. As always, the food and flowers we grow are grown organically, and are handled only by usand the occasional farmhand (friends or family).
