It's really hard to see in pics but babies started budding their arms. As soon as they grow front and back legs and are eating frozen blood worms they will be ready to go!

Spent hours last night setting up shop. Babies were starting to nip at each others gills, so it was time to seperate. This is where the real work comes into play. 100% water changes every single day after feeding.

If you are interested in getting one of these guys I have available. Here's what you need: *note- nothing should go in their thanks smaller then their head. They will swallow it and it will cause them great discomfort and most likely impaction which leads to death. For food- either frozen blood worm cubes (can get at any petstore), European red wigglers, or cut up earthworms (both you can buy at local bait shop) you can get sinking salamander pellets too but do your own resea...rch if that's what you chose to do. I dont prefer them, I like the more fresh food for them its healthier. Aquarium (20 gal per axolotl) Ph test kit or strips (need to be able to test for nitrites, nitrates, hardness, alkalinity, & pH) Stress + Coat (makes tap water safe, removes chlorine and chloramines and detoxifies heavy metals, protects axolotl slime coat) Good filter (they produce alot of waste and more waste = more toxins/ammonia in the water which is very bad for any type of aquatic animal) A Hide (anything they can fit in and hide in) A lid for the aquarium (no lights, they dont have eyelids to protect their eyes) OPTIONAL to make them super happy and comfortable- Plants (they love using plants to levetate and chill on) Substrate needs to either be bare bottom or aquarium safe sand. Absolutely NO GRAVEL & NO PEBBLES (it will kill them from impaction) They LOVE live aquatic plants, I use marimo moss balls (Anubias Isabelle - very tough, taller than the Nana. Anubias Barteri - just like the Nana, but a bit bigger and with rounder leaves. Java Fern - one of the toughest aquatic plants you can get - grows anywhere! Java Moss - grows anywhere as well, can be made into a sort-of a carpet) -Basically any decoration that is safe for aquariums and not smaller then their heads will do just fine For the initial set up depending on where you shop and what deals you find you're looking at about $100-$150 (online always has the best deals). Then monthly maintenance probably about $10-$30 depending on what you need that month.
