Spring has sprung....the girls have been busy!
We are not happy. We do not like snow! We want to retire to Florida.
We are sad to say that we put to rest two of our flock. Both girls laid a lot of eggs and led a full life. Rest In Peace ladies. We will miss you in the coop. - The Coop Girls.
The girls are enjoying the great spring weather! Happy girls = lots of eggs= Happy Farmer!
Laying everyday 15-20 eggs. Loving the weather. Could use a rooster or two. This sorority life gets old. Cluck. Cluck. Lol.
Laying 12 eggs per day, so who are the slackers? The other 12 need to step it up. Lol.
OK, ENOUGH OF THIS SORORITY THING FARMER BROWN! ITS BEEN A LONG WINTER COOPED UP WITH THESE HENS. EITHER GET SOME ROOSTERS OR WE STRIKE!
HEY!! Turn up the heat in the coop! My eggs are frozen when they come out. Eggcicles! Where are the roosters when you need them? This living with a bunch of hens has it down sides! Cluck, Cluck, Cluck!
Hey! Farmer Brown, either turn the heat up or were going to make a fire and fry up some eggs!
Another weekend, "cooped up" with nothing to do..... This laying egg thing is getting old....where are the roosters? I did not sign up for this nun thing! Cluck....Cluck
19 girls and counting. Its the Lay or Bust sorority! Time to spring clean the coop. Of course not a rooster to be found. Sigh.
Finally, we can spread our wings, feeling so "cooped up" lately with this cold weather. It's never a good idea to keep 16 hens in one space for a few days, too much DRAMA. If I hear one more time how Penelope looks like she had work done...I mean really? Have you seen that chick eat? is it any wonder that some of her parts are plump? Rumors have it that she gets extra scratch from Farmer Brown. But you did not hear it from me!
"Why the dirty look Farmer Brown? What? Only 3 eggs? Too bad! When you take us south for the winter, we will talk eggs! Until then, there is always GIANT!" The girls are rebelling.
